PBL: Project based learning is a method is one in which pupils learn by actively exploring and investigating real-world problems and questions over an extended period of time.
PBL is an effective way to help pupils make real-life connections with the material, as well as increase motivation and collaboration.
In PBL, teachers work with their pupils throughout the entire project to give feedback, facilitate learning, and help pupils understand difficult material.

It is your birthday today, and your gift is a ride in the TIME MACHINE! You have reached another place or time.
Before you start, I must warn you! Once you go back in time, you can only stay for one day. If you stay too long, you wont be able to come back.
Another thing… You must bring back a report about what you see. Jump aboard and off you go!
What Does My First Name Mean?
In this project students research the meaning of their own first names and consider whether the meaning actually fits their character.
Participants will answer the following questions about their first names: What is your first name? What language is it in? What does it mean? Is there anything interesting or unusual about your first name? What
city/country do you live in? How many people do you know who have the same first name as you? Does the meaning of your first name suit your character? Do you like your name? What other name would you choose? After answering the questions, pupils write, type or draw their names in a way that illustrates its meaning.
Pupils can use padlet.com to display their work.
A Thousand Words
Can you think of a photograph that holds special meaning for you? It can be a personal photograph, someone in your family, a famous photograph or a photograph from the news in the present or the past. In this project you will:
1. choose a photograph that means something to you
2. write a composition/essay inspired by the photograph you chose
3. write a summary about the setting of the photograph
5. present your photograph orally to the rest of the class

Crazy Crazes
Learning about cultures and fashions around the world. Participants in this project share information about Games, toys, foods, clothes, music and more!
Dances can become crazes too!
Trees - a Project for Tu B'Shvat
In this project, students receive a graphic of a tree and are told: “Here is a tree. Make it your own!” Each student chooses a topic for research connected in some way to the umbrella topic of TREES. Each stage of the project is assessed and the final product consists of both a written report and a presentation.
Biography Projects
Students will complete research on a historical figure and create a video biography of that person.
